We have a saying here at TerraNova, that “It’s our business to Care”. What this means is that providing care is our core purpose; it’s our reason for being. By this we also recognize that if we do not provide great care, that we run the risk of going out of business.
For many Operators, hospital level of care is only incidental to the other services they offer. Many businesses focus on building retirement villages, and it is simply convenient for them to build a small hospital wing at the same facility. This is not the case with TerraNova – our core business is to provide great Rest-Home and Hospital Services.
TerraNova owns two specialized Residential Care facilities in the North Island. We believe that for a business to own between three and fifteen homes is an ideal size, as this allows generation of enough resources to invest back into standards of care, but remain small enough to provide individualized and localised care from each site.
We also recognize that there are many stand-alone Residential Care providers that do provide great care. However, we feel that larger providers are better positioned to provide stability and consistency in caring over time. We often have access to more resources, and can more readily invest in staff training, equipment upgrades, and other items necessary to create that stable caring environment.
We are committed to being, and remaining, one of the best Residential Care providers in New Zealand. It is with this in mind that we make the TerraNova promise:
The TerraNova promise: We will focus all our energy and efforts to provide the best possible care to you or your loved one.
