Anne Paterson commenced as Manager at Monte Vista Residential Care in January 2009, taking over the reins from Lynn Moffat who transferred to Auckland to take on a new challenge within the TerraNova ‘Family’ of Homes.  

Anne brings to Monte Vista a close association with District Health Boards spanning more than 15 years.  Her core focus throughout this period has been clinical and medical workforce development, quality systems design & implementation, business and project management, all within a strong social and community context.

We are fortunate to have someone of Anne’s credentials adding value to our ‘family’ at Monte Vista.  Her formal qualifications in Business Management and Medical Laboratory Science are complimented by her commitment to both social and community development, as well as her core Christian and family values.

As a proud mum of 2 adult sons and one daughter-in-law, Anne lives with her husband on a large lifestyle block which has been the family base for many years – “a great place to raise boys” she says.  Outside of work Anne enjoys active involvement in local community life; and she is delighted that her new role at Monte Vista combines this aspect within the scope of her management role.

 

 

Monte Vista Residential Care & Village

Monte Vista is situated near the shores of Lake Taupo, and enjoys panoramic views of the lake and mountains of the Central Plateau, a truly inspiring and rewarding outlook for residents, family/whanau and friends. The view is also the inspiration behind our name, as "Monte Vista" is Spanish for "view of the mountains".

The building, interior design and furnishings have been designed and purpose-built for our residents' comfort and enjoyment. The four communial lounges open out to attractive lawns and gardens, which are a delight to our residents who often enjoy a quiet stroll through them.

Monte Vista is a 41-bed facility which caters for both rest home and hospital level residents. We can offer you a choice from:

* Rest home level
* Continuing (hospital level) care
* Palliative care
* Respite care
* We also operate a small retirement village where residents can live independently, but with the security of knowing that support is nearby if needed.

Each resident has an individual room, a large majority of which have a spectacular view over the lake and mountains. The rooms are light and spacious with ample room for your favourite armchair, and we encourage you to make it homely by bringing along your favourite ornaments and pictures to hang on the wall. We want you to feel at home.

Monte Vista is Certified by the Ministry of Health to provide age related residential care services under the Health and Disability Services (Safety) Act 2004. Specifically this relates to medical and geriatric services, and is valid for renewal in late 2010.
