Brittany House Residential Care
Just minutes from the fabulous Hawke's Bay Wine country, Brittany House is set in beautiful, park-like grounds. The expansive gardens are a delight to our residents, who often take a quiet stroll through them, or sit down in one of the many sunny spots to enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
The building, interior design and furnishings have been purpose-built and designed for our residents' comfort and enjoyment. The four communal lounges are very homely and provide the opportunity for residents to enjoy the company of others.
Originally built by a Catholic Order, Brittany House is now a non-religous facility which is very fortunate to have a stunning non-denominational chapel that is often used by those residents wishing to sit and reflect, or to attend a service. The building has recently had a facelift, and this has returned the local icon to its former glory.
Brittany House is a 62-bed facility which caters for both rest home and hospital level residents. We can offer you a choice from:
* Rest home care
* Continuing (hospital) level care
* Respite care
* Palliative care
* Day care
Every resident in the rest home has an individual room and some rooms in the hospital are shared, providing the opportunity for those who enjoy a more social environment. The rooms are light and spacious with ample room for your favourite armchair, and we encourage you to make it homely by bringing along your favourite ornaments and your own pictures to hang on the walls. We want you to feel at home.
Brittany House is Certified by the Ministry of Health to provide age related residential care services under the Health and Disability Services (Safety) Act 2004. Specifically this relates to medical and geriatric services, and is valid for renewal in late 2010.
